Louka Parry
CEO + Founder
Louka Parry is an education futurist, learning and leadership strategist. A former teacher, he became a school principal at 27 years old and was named Inspirational Public Secondary Teacher of the Year, a top 40 leader under 40 for South Australia and a Top 100 Australian Innovator in 2022. He has since trained thousands of educators and leaders globally to increase their positive impact.
He holds two Masters degrees, speaks five languages, has completed studies at Harvard, been a resident at Stanford’s d.school and is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar. He has worked on every continent, including in high-level policy fora with the OECD, the European Commission, and education systems as diverse as Romania to the Dominican Republic.
Louka has worked in all Australian States and Territories across all education sectors, many international educational instutitons including Chile and Romania, and also with not-for-profits and large corporates like Apple and Microsoft. He is a Founding Executive of Karanga: the Global Alliance for SEL and Life Skills and an expert at equipping individuals, schools and organisations at the convergence of social, emotional, and academic learning.
Dr Anne Knock

Dr Anne Knock is an educator, facilitator, and coach who enables profound shifts in strategy, leadership, culture and pedagogy through her wisdom. At The Learning Future, Anne leads programs and projects to help educators, leaders and organisations step into the future through strategic design and learning experiences that optimistically chart a path ahead in our increasingly complex world.
Anne holds a PhD in Education from The University of Melbourne with a focus in complexity theory, revealing how to craft successful and sustainable practice and culture in innovative learning environments. She also routinely supports education leaders and architects to develop school masterplans and design briefs.
Commencing as a primary teacher, Anne has experience in community development, school system administration, and school-based innovation consultancy. Anne also leads the executive coaching and learning tour aspects of The Learning Future, supporting schools and organisations to integrate the cutting edge of school design, philosophy and practice.
Having worked and toured leaders across multiple continents, Anne has depth of knowledge of the international education landscape and regularly connects with a global community of like-minded professionals.
Dr Amie Fabry

Dr Amie Fabry is a devoted early childhood educator with almost two decades of diverse experience who merges research with hands-on practice to uplift leaders in pedagogical transformation.
Known for her strengths-based approach, Amie is dedicated to cultivating environments where educators and children flourish. Her PhD spotlighted the pivotal role early childhood leaders have in fostering cultures of collaboration and connection, further emphasized by her recognition with a New Voice Scholarship from the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.
At The Learning Future, she crafts professional programs, drawing from her rich background as a teacher, academic, consultant, and researcher, consistently sparking educational evolution.
Passionately believing in individual potential, Amie, a life-long learner and mother of two, finds joy in reading, nature, and cherishing daily magical moments while celebrating beauty, music, and creativity.
William Parry
Director - Digital Content
William Parry is a creative producer, consulting researcher, business operations associate, and legal practitioner. He also has a background in technology, mechatronix, and sound composition for public documentary and video game studios. He edits and produces The Learning Future Podcast and The Future City Podcast for global audiences.
William holds two Bachelor Degrees, in Law and Legal Practice, and Behavioural Sciences; a Diploma of Business, and is admitted to the roll of legal practitioners by the Supreme Court of South Australia.
He enjoys engaging with new ideas and deploying new technologies to create systems and impact through his broad skillset. He lives with his family in Brisbane, Australia and is a curious learner, passionate advocate, and audience-product focussed creative producer.
Dr Stephen Harris, FRSA

Stephen is the Co-Founder and Director of Learning at Learnlife, and was the Principal of Northern Beaches Christian School (NBCS) from 1999 - 2017. Under his leadership NBCS gained international recognition as an organisation that was noted for leading pedagogic change in schooling.
In 2005, Stephen founded the Sydney Centre for Innovation in Learning (SCIL). His vision was to embed innovation into everyday school practice.
Stephen received recognition at the inaugural 2011 Australian Awards for Outstanding Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL), as the Australian Secondary Principal of the Year (NSW). Stephen was also recognised in 2017 as a recipient of the prestigious John Laing Award by Principals Australia Institute (PAI) presented to exceptional school leaders.
Renee Kirkman

With over 15 years’ experience in communication and change management, a prior eight years’ background in teaching and professional development, and five years as a professional mindset coach, Renee brings a diverse range of skills and experience to The Learning Future and the people we work with.
Renee’s unique teaching background and experience in delivering school curriculum and professional development, means she is perfectly placed to drive the branding, design, and ‘experience’ of The Learning Future – working with the team, educators, and learners to continue to define and clearly articulate our mission.
Having been responsible for the successful development, delivery and ongoing evolution of corporate and internal communication, engagement and change programs across a range of sectors, working in government, not-for-profit and private industry, Renee is also a strong support for leaders and executive working with The Learning Future as they look to the future of new ways of teaching and learning.
Body Based Intelligence (BQ) is Renee’s zone of genius; supporting people to serve themselves and the ecosystems they work and learn within by understanding their nervous system and how to regulate themselves for optimal thriving.
Kwaku Aning

Kwaku Aning is the Director of the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking at the San Diego Jewish Academy. He explores human capabilities, technology, art, agency and how we can create space for deep work through productive struggle. Kwaku is an educator, professional wonderer, connector, and advocate for students. He is a global leader in STEAM and Project Based Learning utilising robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality.
Dominic Regester
Consulting Advisor - Europe
Dominic Regester is an advisor, communicator and thought leader who serves as Director of the Centre for Education Transformation at the global think-tank Salzburg Global Seminar, where he is responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs on education, conservation, and the future of cities. Prior to this he worked for the British Council for 14 years across Europe and Asia, primarily on projects connected to global citizenship education, teacher professional development, education collaboration and internationalism in education. He an Executive of Karanga Global and works on a broad range of projects including as Director at the Amal Alliance and a Contributing Editor to Diplomatic Courier. He holds two Masters degrees, an M.A. in Chinese studies from the School of Oriental and African studies, London, and an M.A. in Education and International Development from the Institute of Education at University College. He is also the co-editor of two recent books Education Disrupted, Education Reimagined: Thoughts and Responses from Education’s Frontline During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond and Social and Emotional Learning across the Mediterranean: Cross Cultural Perspectives and Approaches.
Dr Jennifer Adams

Jennifer is the former Director of Education of the Ottawa-Carlton School District in Canada, a network of 150+ schools supporting 72,000+ students, and she also chairs the Advisory Group of the OECD's Study on Social Emotional Skills. She is Editor-in-Chief of Knowledge Hook, and Executive at Karanga Global. She holds a EdD from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
Dr Benjamin Freud

Dr. Benjamin Freud is an educator, learning dialogist, advisor, writer, and podcaster. He is Head of Secondary at Green School Bali and co-founder of Coconut Thinking, an advisory that supports educators, schools, and learning organizations to shift their learning ecosystems toward life-affirming practices. Benjamin helps learning organizations create, develop, stress test, and implement their ideas for a thriving bio-collective—every living thing that has in interest in the healthfulness of the planet. The Wonder-IntraAction-Sustainability-Regeneration (WISR) Framework was also created by Charlotte Hankin, Benjamin and Louka.
Benjamin started his career in consulting for Internet start-ups in Silicon Valley in the late 1990s, working with people whose ambitions were no less than to change the world. This experience had a profound effect on Benjamin’s outlook on education, innovation, and entrepreneurialism. Benjamin continued to consult in Europe and Asia across different sectors. He then moved into to education and held a variety of leadership roles: Head of Boys’ School, Director of Learning and Teaching, Vice Principal Middle & High School. Throughout each of these experiences, Benjamin has continued to teach learners between G4 and G12. He holds a Ph.D. in History, an MSc in Education, an MBA, and an MA in International Relations along with postgraduate degrees in Leadership, Innovation and Design Thinking.
