On this episode of The Learning Future Podcast, we speak with David Staley, Ph.D., an historian, futurist, and Associate Professor in the departments of History, Design and Educational Studies at the Ohio State University. He has published widely on the intersection of technology and scholarship and is the author of Alternative Universities: Speculative Design for Innovation in Higher Education. 

From 2011-2012 he served as National Dean for General Education at Harrison College, and from 2003-2008, he was Executive Director of the American Association for History and Computing (AAHC). In addition to his written works, he has designed and curated both online and physical exhibitions, publishing numerous visual compositions in digital media. He serves as President of Columbus Futurists (http://columbusfuturists.org), host of CreativeMornings Columbus (http://creativemornings.com/cities/clb) and host of the podcast "Voices of Excellence" (Voices of Excellence from Arts and Sciences). His research interests include digital history, the philosophy of history, historical methodology, and the history and future of higher education.
